Chrissy Steele

Vocalist CHRISSY STEELE from Canada cut her teeth with REFORM SCHOOL before hooking up with CHILLIWACK / HEADPINS guitarist Brian McLeod. To secure the deal with Chrysalis Records McLeod actually showcased Steele as singer for HEADPINS replacing DARBY MILLS. The debut album ‘Magnet To Steel’, issued in 1991, was actually recorded on McLeod’s yacht.

Sessioning were drummer Pat Stewart, TIM FEEHAN and SLAUGHTER’s Mark Slaughter whilst JEFF PARIS and LOVERBOY's Mike Reno donated their songwriting skills. The album included a version of ‘I Cry Myself To Sleep’, also recorded by ROMEOS DAUGHTER. The singer’s live band included former REFORM SCHOOL colleagues guitarist Joey Wouk, drummer Rick Sedyck and keyboard player Jim Webster together with bassist Tony Vogt.

During 1994 Steele was working up material with VIXEN drummer Roxy Petrucci.
